  • What is an Auto Title?

If you own and operate your vehicle within Ohio, you must have a physical Ohio certificate of title. While the Deputy Registrar (BMV) has the responsibility to issue license plates and driver’s licenses, the Clerk of Courts has the legal responsibility to store, transfer, and process auto titles.
