1. How can I get a Civil Protection Order?
You can apply for a civil protection order by obtaining the paperwork at the Domestic Relations Docket Office, 800 Broadway, Room 346, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You can apply for a CPO under the following conditions:
  1. If you are related to the respondent by blood or marriage and have lived with respondent at any time; or,
  2. You are living with or have lived with the respondent during the past five years; or
  3. You used to be married to the respondent; or
  4. You have a child with the respondent, whether or not you were ever married or lived together.

For many recent cases, you can find that document on this website. If you have the case number, click here. You can also search by name by clicking here.

For divorces filed before 1994, come to the Hamilton County Courthouse, Room 315. They can be reached by phone at (513) 946-5693.

For divorces filed after 1994, come to 800 Broadway, Room 347. They can be reached by phone at (513) 946-9151.

For copies by mail, enclose a stamped self addressed envelope and a fee of $2.00 (payable by certified check or money order only) to:
